Business Development Manager

We are currently seeking a Business Development Managers (nationwide) to join our team! The role would involve creating strategic planning for developing new business whilst growing and developing existing business. The successful candidate will be able to deliver a high level of face to face service, as well as having the confidence to build relationships and open new business through cold calling and following up on leads generated through trade exhibitions and advertising.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working toward achieving targets for existing business your main role will be to open up new business opportunities within your area
  • Journey planning and territory management
  • Presenting our products to potential clients at all levels
  • New Product Launch and promotions - communicating these to our clients to maximise sales
  • Exhibitions - responsible for assisting with trade shows and events.

Essential traits and skills:

  • Two years’ experience in a sales role, preferably in the health & beauty sector.
  • It is essential to be able to communicate on all levels
  • Punctual and driven, with excellent time and management skills.
  • Attention to detail is essential along with initiative and creativity and adaptability.
  • Fluent, accurate and persuasive command of written and spoken English.
  • Qualified beauty therapist or nail technician would be an advantage but nor essential as full product training is provided.
  • Some travel to Head Office in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire involved, candidates must be willing to stay away from home when required.

Social Media Intern

Louella Belle is looking for a Social Media Intern to join our growing team. The ideal applicant will possess strong knowledge of the digital media landscape, including various social media sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to website redesign projects, monitoring and posting on blogs and social networks, engaging in online forums, participating in online outreach and promotion and optimizing our website.

As a Social Media Intern, you will have administrative duties as well as responsibility for customer services management on social channels. You will be representing the brand and must be confident to adapt to the tone of voice, have a keen eye for detail as well as a passion for beauty. You will be confident and efficient in multi-tasking between B2B and B2C brands.

What we do

Louella Belle distributes to salons, beauty therapists, luxury department stores, mobile therapists and nail technicians nationwide.

What will you do?

  • Scheduling daily posts on social media channels – Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Youtube and LinkedIn
  • Monitor monthly analytics for UK social media channels
  • Assist with social media weekly updates to wider teams
  • Daily community management; liking and commenting on tagged posts, monitoring and responding to direct messages
  • Assisting in social media competition management; monitoring entries, contacting competition winners and organising prize send-outs
  • Organising social media assets
  • Creating engaging content through imagery and video for use in marketing assets
  • Creative writing for weekly blogs.
  • Attend trade shows and events when needed.

What skills and qualities will you need?

  • Educated to degree level or currently studying
  • Interest in beauty
  • Follower of influencers and bloggers
  • Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal
  • Active interest in social media and a potential career in marketing
  • Works well as part of a team
  • Basic knowledge of photoshop is beneficial but not essential.

This is a voluntary position and therefore the requirements are flexible. Travel cost will be covered. This internship can be full time or part time.

Location: Hertfordshire.
