Here at Louella Belle, we love to hear our customers’ success stories, so we were delighted to hear that Lido’s Spa had won Professional Beauty’s Salon Of The Year in the Four Rooms Or More category for 2016.
Owner of Lido’s Spa Janine Corciulo has been answering some of our questions about their award win, here’s what she had to say!
“Lidos opened in 1997 and quickly gained a reputation of being the first in the area to bring the latest treatments and technology within the beauty industry.
Nail care is still big business and we offer the Artistic range having tried and tested many we just loved the staying power, colour choice and easy application. It has never let us down and our clients love the results”.
How do you feel about winning Professional Beauty’s Salon Of The Year 4 Rooms Or More Award?
To win the Professional Beauty Award this year was a complete surprise due to the amazing competition we were up against. Last year we were finalists and missed out to Harrods. The team and I felt we had to give it another shot and worked really hard in delivering the best customer service and treatment skills.
The evening was very special and will hold lovely memories for me as I took my 20 year old daughter so she could have an insight into what drove me to always be at Lidos working while she was growing up. Luckily, she has developed the same drive and work ethic as her mamma. I can tell you that we both enjoyed a few cocktails that evening!
What will this award mean to Lido’s Spa?
The Lidos team have always been a cheery bunch but winning the award has given everybody an extra boost and we feel proud of being part of this achievement. Knowing client’s expectations are high, my girls have raised their game yet again. I am very proud of them all.
Since the win we have been spoilt with gifts and lovely cards along with being asked to contribute to beauty blogs and try new products. New client visits are up and we have noticed an increase in job applications. All in all a great positive start to 2016.
What do you think it was that helped Lido’s Spa stand out from other spa’s to win this award?
After nearly 20 years in business you quickly learn that you can never stop pushing forward and re-energising your team and clients. We stand out because we are constantly re-assessing our client care and researching the latest results driven treatments to bring the very best. Our reputation is based on consistency and professionalism in all that we do.
We love to education and strive for excellence. But above all we like to have fun. Many of our staff have been with Lidos for 10 years or more with our receptionist leading the way with nearly 20 years so I think we must be doing something right!
How do your customers feel about your award?
You enter awards to show case all your hard work and also to recognise your strengths and any weakness that can be improved upon the following year. Even with being finalised last year our clients became excited and consistently praised the therapists on their skills and caring manner.
What does the future hold for Lido’s Spa?
Lidos are looking ahead to consolidating and enjoying 2016. We will be launching a new menu of treatments this year along with a few interior decor changes to keep that wow factor that our visitors expect. Lots of training as usual so the team move forward in skills along with recruitment for more talented therapists.
